The Curious Savage
Mrs Savage has been left ten million dollars by her husband and wants to put it to good use by helping ordinary people realise their dreams. However, her greedy step-children have other ideas...they promptly commit her to ‘Cloisters’ and set about trying to obtain her fortune, and so the story unfolds...
This Newbridge Drama production is set in ‘The Cloisters’ institution, Massachusetts, USA in the 1950’s, The Curious Savage compares the behaviour of the gentle inmates of this mental institution with people in the outside “normal” world, represented by the Savage family.
