Stinging Fly Workshops
These two workshops will focus on work in progress; participating writers will be expected to submit a sample of their work in advance. This material will then be work-shopped intensively by the group over the course of the day.
Places to be booked and work submitted by Friday August 24th. Early booking is advised.
Fiction Workshop 1 – led by Sean O’Reilly (SOLD OUT)
Sean O’Reilly grew up in Derry. His first book was the acclaimed short story collection, Curfew. This was followed by the novel, Love and Sleep, which was listed as one of the top fifty Irish novels by the Irish Times. He has been Writer-in-Residence in various cultural and academic institutes.
Poetry Workshop 2 - led by Kimberly Campanello

Kimberly Campanello was born in Elkhart, Indiana, and now lives in Dublin. Her chapbook Spinning Cities is published by Wurm Press (2011). She is an assistant editor of Rowboat, a new magazine dedicated to poetry in translation. She earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Alabama andshe is completing a PhD in Creative Writing at Middlesex University, London. She is currently teaching poetry writing at the Big Smoke Writing Factory in Dublin.
