Poetry can open magical doorways. Doorways to other worlds. Worlds of magic and adventure.

Based on the award-winning book ‘I Am the Wind’ this exhibition can export you to another world. On the walls of our Children’s Gallery, you will discover poems about all kinds of things, from animals and nature, to skateboarding and riding horses. You will read about friendship and loneliness, joy and sadness, and feeling like an outsider. You will find poems by well-known poets like W.B. Yeats, and poems by newer poets like Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan.

The poems have been carefully selected by Lucinda Jacob and Sarah Webb, and vibrantly illustrated by Ashwin Chacko to transport the viewer to a world where anything is possible. Designed to inspire and evoke a sense of wonder, this unique blend of poetry and art offers a delightful experience that celebrates creativity and the power of words and images.
