Bank Holiday & Mid-Term Treats

With the October Bank Holiday fast approaching, we have a number of upcoming events you might enjoy.

 

Thursday 22nd, 8pm: Vocalist Honor Heffernan presents her new show, The Whistling Girl, inspired by the poetry of Dorothy Parker.

 

Friday 23rd, 8pm: Eilish O’Carroll, known the world over for playing Winnie McGoogan in Mrs Brown’s Boys, presents her hilarious and warm solo show LIVE LOVE LAUGH

 

Saturday 24th, 2pm: Bácum Dance Theatre (Spain) present: Paper Bubbles, a wonderful dance, live music and multimedia show, for young audiences (Ages 3 – 10 years).

 

Monday 26th, 8pm: Our cinema screening A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, is set in the fictional Bad City, a ghost town whose residents favour a diverse range of retro influences. It finds a small, skateboard-riding vampire known only as ‘The Girl’ stalking the townsfolk, dispensing bloody justice.

 

Wednesday 28th, 10.30am: The first of our mid-term workshops, The Action Comet Workshop, will teach children all about European Space Agency’s Rosetta Mission to a comet called 67/P CG. This workshop is suitable for ages: 8-12 years.

 

Friday 30th: Branar Theatre company present Bláth / The Flower,  a non-verbal show that will enchant audiences as they enter a world made entirely of paper. There are two shows (12pm & 2pm). Bláth / The Flower designer Maeve Clancy will be conducting two workshops (10.45am & 12.45pm).

Saturday 31st October 2pm: There will be a very special screening of the award winning Irish animation Song of the Sea. Tickets only €3.
