In a pool in post-earthquake New Zealand, recent emigrant Maeve is learning to swim.
Self-professed ‘swimaholic’ coach Doreen eggs her on. But as she struggles to stay afloat, Maeve must do battle with the water and an unresolved dilemma with her much-loved father back home.
