MUSIC: EIMEAR CREHAN
Friday 6th May, 2022 - 20:00
€18 – €20Eimear Crehan is a well established songwriter, community musician and facilitator who loves to share her music with her audience. She is currently touring after the release of her second album, Quiver, and is enjoying playing in theatres around Ireland, supporting Mary Coughlan as well as doing her own headline shows. Eimear has been working on her music and performing for 14 years now and in that time her sound has really developed, having moved through lots of genres like funk, soul, gospel and rock. It is only now that her sound has found its true home, with its feet in soul and its body in the story-telling aspect of folk.
Eimear loves beautiful melodies, powerful stories, and delicate instrumentation. She brings audiences on a journey, connecting to her listeners, relating to them, and telling them stories through song. This intimate gig will feature songs from her first solo album ‘Scars’, her new album ‘Quiver’ and some unheard material she has been working on for a new body of work called ‘Humanity’. This will be a full band show, with support from Zoe Clarke on the night. Eimear can’t wait to share this beautiful night with you all, celebrating as we move into recovery from the pandemic, welcoming the return of one of the most important part of concerts – the audience.
Eimear Crehan is one of the recipients of the Riverbank Arts Centre Music Bursary 2021.
