Making a spring inspired picture bookmark.
Let your kids enjoy the sensory craft of wet felt making. This active craft is the oldest form of textile making in the world. It involves soap, water and wool fibre as well as lots of rubbing and rolling. Many children enjoy the sensory experience of “messy play” and seeing the change from fibre to felt is magical and helps kids gain an insight into how processes can change materials.
They will go away with their own bookmarks, creating spring scenes – little pictures to keep and treasure.
Duration: 70 minutes
Suitable for ages 7-12 years
Workshops at 12pm & 2pm
A celebratory day of free family events as part of Brigid 2025 – Spirit of Kildare festival, funded by Kildare County Council.
