Since 2009, Fighting Words has provided free story-writing workshops for thousands of children and teenagers, both at our dedicated centres in Dublin, Belfast and Wicklow as well as other locations around Ireland.  Co-founded by Roddy Doyle, at Fighting Words workshops, the focus is on creativity and fun, helping everyone to develop their writing skills in a relaxed environment.

Participants will spend the first half of the workshop working as a group with a facilitator, illustrator and typist. The group will start the story together and bring it to a cliffhanger. During the second half, everyone has the opportunity to finish the story, assisted by trained and vetted Fighting Words writing tutors. At the end of the workshop, participants will receive a printed and illustrated copy of the day’s story, complete with their About the Author photo!

Places are limited to 25 and booking is essential.
