The story explores the challenges of displacement and the immigrant experience and inspires reflection on our shared responsibility to protect each other and the environment. Faced with an apocalyptic storm and an uncertain future, a group of young refugees and friends must struggle to survive in a new world while protecting each other.
Directed by Yakup Bas and Halit Kayacan, this production is one of over 400 being staged across Ireland and the UK as part of the National Theatre (UK) Connections programme.
Crooked House has taken part with Kildare Youth Theatre in this programme since 2023, staging over 50 new plays for teenagers by contemporary playwrights. The cast of 11 young people come from all over Kildare, many performing for the first time with Kildare Youth Theatre.
