Sightless Cinema – an evening of audio plays in the dark is a fun filled programme of short surround sound audio plays, where all the pictures are in your head! Optional blindfolds provided, for an immersive sound experience.
Featuring a surprising and entertaining mix of high drama and low comedy, including Horse and No Jockey a madcap comic mystery on a blind weekend away at a country hotel. The evening ends with a chance to meet some of the cast of the Sightless Cinema project, which is created by people with sight loss from three counties in collaboration with theatre director Ciarán Taylor.
Since 2015 Sightless Cinema has presented seven original programmes of surround sound plays at the Lighthouse Cinema and IMC Cinema and most recently at the Hugh lane Gallery, Dublin and on two tours of Ireland. They have also produced online comedies The Covid Tapes and Ballymuck Exchange – a telephone comedy.
‘Wonderfully written and performed! Hilarious- very entertaining!’ audience reviews
