For the last national tour by the current members of The Vanbrugh Quartet, the musicians have chosen to present the spiritual heart of the chamber music repertoire, the great Schubert cello quintet (with cellist William Butt). Cellist William Butt has been a valued and inspiring colleague over the years and they are delighted to perform together again.

By way of contrast with the epic scope of the Schubert, the first half of the concert will consist of a series of popular miniatures from around the world, including pieces from China, Norway, Ireland and the USA.
